The Politics of the Jury.

      In classifying the Jury upon the Langston case we put Mr. Burton down as a Democrat. We have since learned that Mr. Burton has never voted a National, State, nor County Democratic ticket. At the same time Mr. Burton does not belong to the Republican party and we suppose should be ranked as an Old Line Whig.

      Mr. Smith, of whose politics we spoke as not being fully informed, is a Democrat.

      The jury therefore stands nine Democrats, two Old Line Whigs and one Republican.
